Latimer Close road closure 7th - 8th January 2026

Dear Neighbours

Further to my previous notification regarding road closure at the entrance to Latimer Close, there have now been signs erected to indicate that the work will be taking place on 7th and 8th January 2026 between 08.00 - 17.00hrs.
 

Latimer Close residents:  My understanding from a telephone call to Herts County Council today, is that this work is being carried out by Thames Water and concerns sewage hatch maintenance.  I think this will be right on the bend as you enter Latimer Close as the inspection cover is in the centre of the road directly between number 4 and number 46, so it is particularly important that no vehicles are left parked in the road in that area.  

Latimer Close residents should also be aware that, although the letter says they will endeavour to allow access where possible, if you definitely need to use your vehicle on these days it is highly advisable to remove it from the close before 08.00hrs.  We will not know more until they turn up on the morning of the works when we will have the opportunity to speak to the workforce involved for more information and I will keep you informed as much as possible via Neighbourhood Alerts and social media pages.

School drop off and pick up:  This should really ONLY affect residents of Latimer Close however we are aware that many people use Latimer Close to park for dropoff and pickup for Holtsmere End School so please be aware that this will not be possible on these dates.

I have included all the information that I currently available in this message and will not have any further information until 7th January.
